In an attempt to improve interaction between alumni of IITB & also amongst other IIT’s in Pune we will be having a function every quarter. The purpose is Facilitating serendipity.
Serendipity is the occurrence and development of events by chance in a happy or beneficial way.
You will be able to Network with other IITans. Be it helping with your career, business or leisure, alumni can help each other much more than anyone else because of the common roots they share.
There are about 1,900 alumni of IITB in Pune. We do not have figures for alumni from other IIT’s. Could be about 200+ from each.

The first function is planned for 12th March 2016 at GS Lab terrace at 5.30pm. We are expecting a lot of participation from younger alumni.

There will initially be a Q & A session with Vinayak Joglekar (C1977, Mech. IITB; C1981 IIMC) Founder & CTO, Synerzip (http://synerzip.com/) on his experience in building a software product development company.
The session will cover issues such as
What was his motivation for starting an enterprise?
How did he come up with a business idea?
What was his experience when starting up, specifically around building the team and the MVP?
How did he raise the required capital?
How did he reach out/market the product/service to customers?
Were there any moments of doubt?
What advice would he like to give to entrepreneurs who want to start a venture ?

Registration is neccesary. The function is open for alumni from all IIT’s. Every alumnus can also bring one other person who is interested in networking but not an IIT alumnus.
The damages are Rs 200 per head including a light dinner. Beer will be available for purchase at the venue.
A list of alumni who have registered will be available on the registration page so please register early.
