This should be an interesting read for all of you who want to share pictures online. If you’ve used Picasa and PicasaWeb (the online version that is well integrated with the desktop Picasa tool) then you will appreciate this flow a lot more.

If you are not biased towards Google technologies, here is something more general from the same place,

We had a lively photowalk last Sunday morning around Baneshwar temple. Our Endeavour began from Deccan Bus-depot early morning. Temple was reached in early light before locals opened their shops which meant we had to begin taking pictures before the expected tea ritual. Squirrel, Fish, Bird, Temple dome and even Lemons were not left alone as we began our walk in earnest.

After an hour or so of this, the tea and snacks were made available (as more life woke up), we took a break and headed towards the waterfall. After a cool and refreshing walk through the tree-covered trail we were greeted with dry rocks and a small stream. Well, we continued gathering more light…

A little over a year back, on the 8th of June 2011, we got a mailer from the IITBAA group inviting people to get together for photography. G.S. Labs was graciously made available for those so inclined and the first meet happened on second of July. A mix of people with interests in capturing and showing light from the sheer art of it right up to techi details turned up. Thus was the Photography Club born.

We hold regular monthly meetings and outdoor photo walks. We compare notes, discuss and review photographs. Ideas evolved on identifying good pictures, handling the digital camera to catch them better and post process them. Over time we also setup a portal to host pictures. Our forte was, however, more of monthly discussions and hands-on photography.

We want this bug of hobby photography to spread and expect more and more creative IITans to join. So, work more on that random urge to grab a good picture with your mobile phone and your point-&-shoot. Kindle that desire for more focused photography. Join us to share your ideas and learn in a group of unlike-minded photo-enthusiasts.

At the end of this first year of the Photography Club, we decided to host a small celebration of our time with capturing light to show the best of our work as an invitation for the year to come.

So do join us with friends and families to view the exhibition to showcase The Best of Last year on Camera and interactive chat!!
